Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech) program at Bansal Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal, must fulfill the following eligibility criteria as per the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh:
- Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or an equivalent degree in a relevant branch from a recognized university or institution.
- Candidates with an M.Sc./MCA degree in related disciplines (where applicable) may also be eligible, subject to university norms.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Madhya Pradesh) in the qualifying degree examination.
- Entrance Examination:
- Admission is primarily through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
- Candidates without GATE scores may be considered for institute-level counseling or non-GATE seats, based on merit or entrance tests conducted by the institution.
- Domicile Requirement (for State Quota):
For admission under the state quota, the candidate should be a domicile of Madhya Pradesh or must have completed their qualifying degree from an institute located in Madhya Pradesh.
- Reservation Policy:

- Educational Qualification:
- The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognized university.
- The candidate must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level or at the graduation level.
- Minimum Percentage Requirement:
- A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree is required for candidates belonging to the General category.
- A relaxation of 5% is applicable for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC categories of Madhya Pradesh, i.e., 45% marks.
- Entrance Test / Admission Basis:
- Admission to the MCA program is conducted through online counseling by DTE, Madhya Pradesh, based on merit in the qualifying examination or performance in state-level entrance tests, if conducted.
- Non-entrance based admissions may be considered for vacant seats as per norms.
- Domicile Requirement (for State Quota Seats):
- For admission under the State Quota, the candidate must be a domicile of Madhya Pradesh or must have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in Madhya Pradesh.
